Control widths in comments?

Hi, If a person types comments regularly everything word wraps just fine. But if someone just hit a key and held it down (similar to what a cat standing on your keyboard might do or someone trying to mess up your site) the comment's width expands and screws up the whole page. Is there a way to combat this behavior? Thanks.

I am very interested in hearing what is to be said about this... I would definitely like this kind of option on the chatterblock... I'll be watching this one...---Victor B. Gonzalez

I can't think of a good solution - at least not for Geeklog stories and comments.

In theory, there is the PHP wordwrap() function. In practice, that doesn't help since a) you don't know how wide the user's browser window is (especially not how many characters they can display in one line) and b) it doesn't work with HTML and may insert line breaks in the middle of an HTML tag ...

bye, Dirk
