DB Backup Error

Anonymous

Anonymous
I am unable to run the db backup function. I am getting the following error: Warning: exec() [function.exec]: Unable to fork [c:/mysql/bin/mysqldump.exe -hlocalhost -umyuser -pmypassword mydb > C:/inetpub/geeklog/backups/geeklog_db_backup_2003_05_27.sql] in C:....admindatabase.php on line 76 I've tried checking permissions on the directories and they look ok. I've tried to run the exact same command from the command line and it runs ok. My environment is NT2K, IIS, runtime version of php. Does anyone have any ideas why this may be happening? Does it have to do with anything in php.ini with forking processes? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

It's happening because you don't have permission set up correctly to run the exec command from a script. I don't run an IIS server so I can't tell you where to fix this. Perhaps someone else knows or you can look in the manual.
