tar.gz help needed

Hello..My MAC says "no application to open tar.gz". What do I do? Please advise and thank you...The tar.gz is "white" instead of a color on the desk top(as if it does not have info in it???). Please advise thanks.Bloggertown.com

Well, Stuffit Expander should be able to do the job, if you drag the tar.gz
icon to the Stuffit Expander icon.
Or you could open up the Terminal and use the command line. The
following command should handle your file, I believe - just replace the
file_name_to_untar with your file name.
tar -xvzf file_name_to_untar---Kevin
