Is there a way to timeout news feeds?

Has anyone else experienced this? Every couple of days it seems the news feeds I have on my main front page, as well as weather block, just freeze up, "Cannot reach the supplied RDF file..." When that happens, it takes up to 2 full minutes to load the page - like gl is trying to find the RDF. Is there a way to set an absolute timeout on RDF gets??? Does this make sense? Thanks John, KenoshaOnline.net

I'm afraid there's nothing you can do (other than using more reliable feeds ...). bye, Dirk

Which news feeds are freezing up on you? How often do they go down? I made some changes in the weather block and since then it hasn't hung up on me at all. The same idea might work on the news feeds but I need something to test it out on.

What changes? It would be nice if you'd share them with us. Thanks. ---Dave Grosvold
