Related Block Gives me this line when I click "more from this user":
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/sites/site56/geeklog/system/classes/template.class.php on line 496
The user has 600 stories, I think thats the problem because it is not doing it that with small contributor users that had no more than 10 stories.
How can I deal with this?
Thanks!!

"More by this autho" simply does a search. This is a general problem with the search in Geeklog at the moment - it always tries to find all the matches at once. If that takes too long, it will run into max. execution timeouts that some hosting services have in place.
I'm afraid there isn't much you can do at the moment. We may (or may not) come up with a solution in Geeklog 1.3.8 ...
bye, Dirk

I found out that geeklog site does the same!!!
when you want to get the messages "related to Help" by clicking that link in the "Related Block" it does the same.
I think that splitting the quantity that shows by 100 messages will keep it safe of timeout. Per example making the search by date and a little script that counts upto 100 messages gather by time will solve it. So nobody gets that timeout message.
And then a "get more" button that keep searching from that last message upto the next 100. And so on till the end.
Is that too difficult and time consuming to do?
That will make it perfect because that is the only error message that I have. beside that it Rocks!!
That tool is also great because it let you read only the titles of the stories. I love it.
I hope you come up with a solution for that by 1.3.8, I will be really happy with that and maybe lot users will be too. So nobody gets that error.
Geeklogs Rocks!!!

I also found out that you already did what I suggest you to do under "Admin/Stories". I log in with a guy that had 600 stories in order to write some more for him and you I see that you gather by 50 stories instead of 100 and then there is a Next button instead of "search more" wich is the same thing.
So why don't you translate this script to the Related Block?
I already did it once, so the second one will take you just a few, and Geeklog will be out of known problems!!
Cya, Thanks. I hope you do it for 1.3.8

Do you think making a survey in order to decide if you need to fix that or not for 1.3.8 will be interesting?
bye, Thanks
