where is the php.ini file if i don't use a local server? i'm trying to fix this mail thingy...

If you are using Linux then execute "updatedb" at the
in the shell. This will create an index of all your files.
Then do a "locate php.ini" . This will tell you where it is.
You can use this to look for any file.

I've just learned (from Dirk) that I need to make sure allow_url_fopen=on is done in the php.ini file - which, of course, I don't have access to... is that something that can be "taken care of" in an .htaccess file?
If so - anyone have time to help me make sure I get it right?
