Are there any provisions in the making [or a plugin I haven't yet spotted] which allow GL to use external authentication? I wish to use a kerberos-based authentication scheme. My kerberos database has over 30,000 users in it, but I only wish to allow a subset of them to use/authenticate against GL. Eg: I have a 'usual' GL user database with say 100 users. I don't assign any password to them, but I give out the rights they need to admin the sections they are supposed to. The login block would then send the userid/password combo to the kerberos server and if they authenticate correctly, they are then allowed into GL with whatever rights they are assigned. The important part is that GL only allow authenticated users access to the admin parts of GL *and* that the user's userid must be in the GL database. [basicly, let an external server do the authentication, and GL do the authorization]. /vjl/
