After hosting a web community of friends on smartgroups and then yahoogroups, I finally decided to host the community completely independently of those commercial sites. I couldn't have done it without Geeklog. We are a group of friends that are based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but now have members all over the country and in the UK.
