That's right folks, I've been working on making phpBB a true Geeklog plugin. After a few schema changes, some regular expressions kung-fu and some coding wizardry this plugin is ready for it's debut. Take a look at it here.
If you are chomping at the bit for this then you better download geeklog-1.3 (from CVS) as it contains the needed plugin management code needed to install phpBB. I will make the tarball available on Thursday pending any big bugs. You can learn more about phpBB at their site.

i am thrilled to install geeklog which seems to fit exactly in my project (a portal site for photos, short stories and episodic novels) and i am already using a phpBB forum.
So is it working with installed one or only for a board which start from the begginning ? (i want to keep my users table)

well it's meant to be for new installations and there willb be upgrade scripts for the plugins in later releases.
If you are decent with mysql you shouldn't have any trouble converting your users table.

Yeah, I've since taken it down. I'm busy reworking it a bit so that it is easier to upgrade to future versions of phpBB. Actually, I'm hoping phpBB2 will come out as that allows you to change the database table name that phpBB uses (similar to Geeklog 1.3 and higher).
Don't worry, this has to get done eventually...I need this plugin for work.

Tony,
When are you going to get the phpbb plugin working again? I'm dying to incorporate it into my geeklog site! If you won't get to it anytime soon do you have a recommendation on how to incorporate the phpbb v2 release?
Thanks for all the hard work you put into geeklog - it rocks!
