I made some enhancements to my menu plugin that greatly extend its functionality. Briefly I have added:
  • Sub Topics - yes real subtopics
  • And/or Sub Topics showing stories by month/year
  • User and Admin menus can become sub menus
  • Regular cascading sub-menus for normal links
I am releasing this as version 1.5. Unfortunately this required some minor hacking of the main site index.php.

Therefore I am making a concurrent release of my original menu plugin with all bug fixes/enhancements rolled up and calling it version 1.1. This would be for people who do not need the added functionality or do not want to change there Geeklog installation.

Neither version requires any database changes.

You can get it from The Pigstye

Enjoy

Tom

Dang, Same old bug as with my first release has crept in. I was apparently working off an older version. After an upgrade or new install you might not be able to access the main site menu editor. On line 35 of admin/plugins/menu/index.php you will find: if (!SEC_hasRights('contact.admin')) { it should read: if (!SEC_hasRights('menu.admin')) { Of course if you were smart and waited the version on my site now has been fixed.
