I just finished updating my first Geeklog block. I took the other available block and pretty much re-wrote how it works, but still using the basic structure for the most part.
- Fixed logic error and typo that prevented the registered user flag from working
- Changed the way "boink" works. No longer automatically goes back on referral failure. Instead it displays a custom block header and feedback message with a link to go back.
- Also made it so that the user can refer another user from the feedback page.
- Cleaned the code (at least the way I would rather have it) and reworded most feedback messages.
Enjoy!

I am getting the following error message..
Error in PHP Block. Function, phpblock_referal, does not exist.
I have copied the block in it's entirety in to lib-custom.php?
Thanks..

Sorry, the doc must be outdated. . .part of my cleaning process was to fix the mispelling of referral (it should not be spelled referral now).
Ok, just downloaded it again myself at work and there are indeed two typos. One is in the refer.INSTALL doc. It should say add block phpblock_referral.
I also missed changing the actual function to be phpblock_referral. Now done.
Not sure if this is really what is causing your prob though. If you can connect to the irc channel (irc.freenode.net) #geeklog, and there could be someone there to help you live.
