Links Enhancement

To make the links more useable for me I have made two additions to links.php.
1) I provided a list of clickable categories at the top of the link page.
2) I made the links pageable (so many links per page are displayed).
This is better than the current links page but not as complicated as the phplinks addin.
There are two configuration variables added to the top of the links file you can customize.
$linkcols sets the number of categories displayed accross the top in each row.
$linksperpage sets the number of links displayed per page.
I am making this enhancement available gzipped direct from my website at http://www.pigstye.net/links.php.gz
You can see the links page in action at

Nice work.
Two problems I found:
1) When printing the page navigation, you should use $currentcategory instead of $C['category']. Otherwise, the link to the second page of a category will always lead to the second page of the last category.
2) You should include $_CONF['site_url'| in the links. Otherwise, this will not work if the site is not in the web server's document root.
Other than that, this is a nice addon that will come in handy if you have a lot of links.
bye, Dirk

Excellent, exactly what I have been looking for. I am looking forward for your upgraded version.
Another question, how do you add the email form in your link page?
Thanks

Dirk worked on my version and added a nice feature plus some bug fixes. He made it so that setting either the category variable or paging variable to 0 would turn off that feature. It is based on the 1.36 code but works fine on 1.35r2. It is available at the same location:
http://www.pigstye.net/links.php.gz
I added the email address using the <a> html tag as usual. Thus:
<a href="mailto:rrr@rrr.rrr">Email</a>
