Geeklog Forums

Well, it's better late than never ;-) I finally packaged up the CMS Bridge phpBB integration code for Geeklog. The package includes the code to more tightly integrate the CMS Bridged phpBB forum as seen on Squatty.com. You can download the release here.

I'm calling this an alpha release due to the fact that I haven't thoroughly tested the release nor have I done (IMO) a good job documenting the install instructions. I'm releasing this package now (and in this fashion) because I don't anticipate a lot of interest. Squatty.com will soon be upgrading to the GL Forum plugin. I encourage those of you who want to run a forum system to look to the GL Forum first. Especially if you are not all that familiar with php and or Geeklog.

For those of you who decide to run the Bridged version, I will provide support should you run into issues with this alpha release. Please keep in mind however that this release does NOT include steps for installing CMS Brigde. I am not the best person to ask support questions of when it comes to the internal workings of the CMS Brigde. You MUST have a working install of a phpBB with the CMS Bridge before deploying my code!

This is not a hack to integrate phpBB and Geeklog. The code simply extends the integration of a CMS Bridged phpBB install and GL. There are no sql scripts to merge data nor are any phpBB files modified. ---Danny @ squatty.com
