need help to find a way to allow registered users to post data without it having to be checked out by a story admin before being posted. I want the users to be able to post with out being able to have read access to all of the other stories also.

You could switch off the story submission queue (in config.php). That, however, would then apply to all users, including anonymous one. To compensate, you could then switch on \"submitloginrequired\". See the documentation for details. That can be accomplished by using Geeklog\'s permission system: Define new groups and assign topics and/or stories to these groups, then set the permissions accordingly. I\'d suggest you play around with the permissions a bit. If you know how Unix file system permissions work, it should be easy to figure out. bye, Dirk
