Guys, I\'m new to GL and was wondering if it was possible to control file management access by user group. I want to grant one user group access to some files and another user group access to others. Is this possible? The file management plugin seems to just allow an overall access for the FileMgmt-Users group, but can it be broken down further than this?

Correct - the current version of the FileMgmt Plugin does not allow any access restrictions to categories or files.

Are there any plans on updating the plugin to include user/group access? I read somewhere (I think it was Squatty's site) that it's possible for Blaine to develop this for a fee. If a group of us wants this feature and are willing to donate, can anyone add this?

The only workaround (highly unsecure) I've done so far is to limit the link to filemgmnt for the proper Group(s)/Users, and then comment out the file management listing in the siteindex.

Does anyone have other ideas?
