I\'m having a heck of a time finding answers to my Daily Digest questions, I\'ve been all over the web looking for answers... Yes I\'m pretty much a newby. I I\'m trying to setup my Daily Digest, that is, my crontab. I know I\'m close but it ain\'t right yet. So far i did a \'crontab -e\' and entered: SHELL=/bin/csh PATH=/sbin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/ local/www/vhosts/drewharper.com HOME=/user/home/drew MAILTO= 11 13 * * * /usr/local/www/vhosts/drewharper.com/ emailgeeklogstories I guessed on the PATH. Also, shouldn\'t the email be a php variable for $user or something? (I put mine in temporarily) I\'m running FreeBSD on a virtual server, though I do have root access. Right now I receive emails saying: \"/usr/local/www/vhosts/drewharper.com/emailgeeklogstories: Command not found.\" My emailgeeklogstories has the right path to lib-common.php... What\'s the missing step?? What am I screwing up? Also, can it be set to email all stories to users who write them? Anyone written a hack for that?

Not sure if you need all those environment variables - just the last line should usually be enough (though that may depend on your setup). Looks okay from my perspective - assuming the path is correct and that you made the script executable ... Not sure what you mean. The script will use the 'site_mail' address from config.php. bye, Dirk

I made the emailgeeklogstories script 775. Is that \'executable\'? I think it is. (I thought it had to be executable by \'user\', \'group\' or \'world\'. Do you mean it has to be executable by \'me\', eg \'user\' then?)
Groan... I wish this was a little easier. This is just the beginning of what I want really, I want \'Notify me of Replys\' emails sent to all posters as well (just like the email I just got from you). Where can I find that? Thanks. =D P.S. I\'ve got PHP 4.0.6 running on my server, that ok?
