Staticpages background picture?

Question Is it possible to put a background picture within a ststic page? Question Also, do IMG SRC= paths have to be absolute paths E.g. \"/ststicpages/images/image.jpg\" Or is it possible to use relative paths, eg. \"images/image.jpg\" If relative is possible, then where is the working directory? The root? Just seems to be limited info on what can be achieved within the contents of a static page. Any help would be appreciated, scuba

Sure, use CSS.

For static pages that are not used on the frontpage, relative paths (relative to the staticpages directory) will work - if the url rewriting is off. What\'s so bad about absolute paths, btw? Use them and you don\'t have to guess ...

Tutorials on HTML and CSS are slightly outside of the scope of the Geeklog documentation, IMO Mr. Green bye, Dirk

I tried re-defining the body tag and even created a new CSS style called .main as follows without any luck. Any ideas how I shopuld apply a background image to just the staticpage window using CSS?:
Text Formatted Code
<!--
.main {  background-image: url(/staticpages/images/ski1.jpg)}
body {  background-image: url(/staticpages/images/ski1.jpg)}
-->
I know CSS is outside the bounds of normal discussion here but it helps as it is useful figuring out how to use static pages. The code I have on my static page works fine on its own htm page with the background image displayed properly but pasted in the static page, it applied the image behind geeklog and not inside the static page itself. Any help would be useful. Thanks, paul

Try putting the background in the table cell instead of the whole page.
