Hi
I\'ve been having problems getting safe mode to disable on my server, host doesn\'t understand it nor does it seem the datacentre does!
So is it in any way possible to disable safe mode by adding code to the geeklog script?
If so could you please explain how because I am lost.
Thanks

Not that I know of.
Geeklog itself runs fine with safe mode turned on. It\'s only the calls to external programs (like for the database backup and image scaling) and the upload functions that may not be working in safe mode.
Btw, I wouldn\'t feel to good with a hosting service that doesn\'t seem to know what they\'re doing ... Have you pointed them to the section on safe mode in the PHP manual yet?
bye, Dirk

Just got word back, it seems they\'ve narrowed it down to a conflict between the control panel and the version of PHP they\'re running, so upgrading PHP should fix the problem.
Thanks for your help again
