I have upgraded my local test site from GL 1.3.7sr2 to 1.3.8. My test site is running locally on Mac OS X 10.2.6. The GL 1.3.7sr2 install appeared to work correctly (I say appear, as I didn\'t give it a long checkout after installing it on my new Mac). But after the upgrade to 1.3.8 I am having problems when I try to login.
When I attempt to log in from Safari (the same thing happens from Mozilla on X11), the site goes to users.php, but immediately redirects back to the main page. It does not log in. If I manually go to users.php I can successfully log in.
When I attempt to log in from Camino it goes to users.php, with a Try Logging in Again message. A login from the window in the centre of this page works.
There are no messages in the error.log, or the Apache\'s error_log.
I have searched the forum, and there is one post with what sounds like a similar problem. I flushed the cookies from my browsers and restarted them, but the problem remains. In that post Dirk suggested that it may be necessary to set the $_CONF[\'cookiedomain\'] in config.php, but I am not sure what I would set it to on a local setup.
Can anyone offer any suggestions as to how to fix my login problem?

Well, wouldn\'t you know it. I\'ve been fighting this problem for several days, and I find the solution 10 minutes after asking for help.
I was going to my site using the IP address of my local mac, and that was what I had set in $_CONF[\'site_url\'] in config.php. But I noted that the URL in the browser would change to http://powermac.local. So, I changed the $_CONF[\'site_url\'] to http://powermac.local, and I can login successfully if I come to the site from that URL.
