my server path is /home/mysitecom/public_html/
Now I downloaded to my desktop and below is the result
geeklog-1.3.8.tar/
When I untarred it I get this: geeklog-1.3.8/ gl folders and *.*
I changed to the above directory/public_html /and uploaded the whole contents to my web directory:/home/mysitecom/public_html/ and all is fine.
Now I tried to install the GL Forum from ../public_html/on my desktop/ to /home/mysitecom/public_html/, but it never worked.
In a nut shell I believe the neccessary paths to install the GL Forum based on my server path are:
/home/mysitcom/public/
/home/mysitcom/public/admin/plugins/forum
/home/mysitecom/public_html/layout/my layout directory/
So what have I done wrong?
Complicted issues are: Geeklog\'s directory, could this mean where I istalled the GL files?, cos I did not upload a directory for GL as I\'m using it as my main website.
Lastly, does the GL public_html/ in question refer to my web root: /home/mysitecom/public_html/ ?
Some site I visited uploaded the whole GL directory eg. http://www.mysite.com/gl/public_html/index.php.
Can any one help?
