Yeah, the permissions are right. All my older static pages work. Just ones I\'ve been adding since August are 404\'d...

I\'m going fishing here.
What has changed since August? Did you do an upgrade?
You could also check the database table for staticpages and make sure the id is correct.
It\'s acting like the page doesn\'t even exists, thus the 404 error. A permission problem should give \"Access to this page is denied. Either the page has been moved/removed or you do not have sufficient permissions.\"
P.S. The weather\'s fine in Appleton.

Ah! got it. It was in the URL.
As admin looking at the static pages in the admin options, the listed staticpages do not actually link to the viewable static page.
Example:
# Title Written By
1 Events Admin
2 Biz-A-Z.com Restaurant Guide Admin
3 Biz-A-Z.com Car Finder Admin
Selecting the number of the static page opens the editor
selecting the name the link is misformed without the \"page=\"
http://kenoshaonline.net/staticpages/index.php?page=20030903171458232 is correct
http://kenoshaonline.net/staticpages/index.php/20030903171458232 is wrong
Is it like this for everyone? I did upgrade to the latest greatest release in Aug.
I did get the links in correctly on the main page in a block.
CarFinder
Classifieds
RestaurantGuide
Events
Many thanks!
(APPLETON is truly Gods Country...)

page= is the normal way. If you don\'t want the page= you need to set the urlrewrite setting in the config.php
