confused
Hi, I have some stuff i would like to know: 1) Can i make the links to static pages (like a faq) or to the forum, in a block? at least in the topics/sections block? 2) How can i change the name displayed by the forum at the homepage, etc.? its just like GL page, it says Forum at the top, but i want it to say \"foro\", and the option to change this its not in the plugin configuration or in the forum configuration. 3) i dont know how to ask this, so im if you dont understand me, ask me! where are the {site_logo} variable definitions? i mean, where is the \"source\" of that, so i can edit what i want to place in there (like a .swf or a .mng instead of replacing logo.gif with another renamed gif ) i might come up with some more later, thanks in advance!!

Sure, just create a normal block and put HTML links into it.

You can\'t edit the Topics block. Have a look at the Menu plugin for an alternative solution.

That should be in the forum\'s language file.

lib-common.php

You don\'t need to use that variable name. Why not use {site_url}/images/mylogo.swf or something similar instead? bye, Dirk

Hi, thank you very much Dirk...!! The \"Forum\" to \"foro\" thing i cant seem to find it in the language for the forum, but i will look better (using the search and all) and post later what went on. About the logo, because of this: header.thml:
Text Formatted Code
       <td valign=\"bottom\" rowspan=\"2\">
             <a href=\"{site_url}\"><img src=\"{site_logo}\" width=\"350\" height
=\"84\" border=\"0\" alt=\"{site_name}\"></a>

so i change the variable whenever i want to change the file... or should i change here in the theme the path like you sayd?? again thanks for everything!!

You shouldn\'t change anything in Geeklog\'s core files. The {site_logo} variable is just short for http://yoursite/images/logo.gif. You don\'t need to use that variable and if your logo is not named \"logo.gif\", then simply ignore that variable and replace it with something else (as explained in my previous post). bye, Dirk
