Okay I thought this was a problem was with Yahoo but it isn\'t. I\'m still haveing a problem sending an SMTP message in that it is suggesting that I use authentication. So if someone can tell me how to configure that I would appreciate it.
-----------update------------
Out of the 7 sites on my server 5 can send and 2 can\'t. All I think are set up the same. Too strange?

Okay the solution as to why this was happening was so basic. You know how you can\'t see the forest for the trees type of basic.
Please check your \"Root Admin Email Address\" Login as admin and go to \"Account Information\". If it says root@localhost then that would be your problem. I had it set in all but two of my sites. Once I set it to a legitmate email everything worked.
It\'s not enough to have your email setup in config.php.
