I have just upgraded from 1.3.7 to 1.3.8 and I noticed the following problem.
When I login as a user, I get a login screen displayed (even though I am already logged in). This is confirmed when I click on any of the other URL in the Section - which will then flush the screen to show me that I am indeed logged in.
I read some of the earlier comments where Dirk suggested clearing the browser cache. I tried that but that isn\'t any help.
Can anyone tell me if they encountered this same problem and is there a fix?
Thank you.

Did you try deleting your cookies? The format of the Geeklog cookies has changed slightly in 1.3.8 and having some of the old cookies around can cause just the symptoms you\'ve described.

I believe for IE 6 you need to lower the security settings slighlty. At least that\'s what seemed to help with older versions of Geeklog.
Now that I think about it, it shouldn\'t be necessary to do that for 1.3.8, since Geeklog is now setting all the cookies correctly. Can any IE 6 user shed some light on this? I only have limited access to Windows PCs at the moment ...
bye, Dirk

Tools -> Internet Options -> Settings -> View Files -> Edit -> Select All -> File -> Delete. Close the current window, Press OK on the next two windows.
Tools -> Internet Options -> Security Tab -> Click \"Internet\" Picture -> Select \"Default Level\" -> Click \"Local intranet\" -> Select \"Default Level\" -> do the same for the remaining pictures (Trusted Sites and Restricted Sites). Apply the settings @ the bottom.
Click the \"Programs\" Tab -> Reset Web Settings -> uncheck \"Also reset my homepage\" -> Yes -> OK -> Apply
Click the \"Advanced\" Tab -> Restore Defaults (its not in the list, its above the Cancel/Apply buttons. Press Apply, then press OK. Close IE then reopen it.
and make sure you goto www.windowsupdate.com or www.microsoft.com/ie and grab IE6SP1... and dear god, PLEASE, if you are running winxp, do the RPC security updates.
*sigh* ... i do tech support for large Canadian ISP... i get asked \"is the internet down?\" all day!

Dear Destroyer and Dirk
Thank you for responding. I tried your suggestions but unfortunately the problem still persist. I decided to go to another IE browser on another PC to replicate the problem.
Looks like the problem is on my PC. So sorry for troubling you both. Thanks for the support.
