older stories showing really old stories

Running GeekLog v1.3.7sr1
Usually I have the older stories block switched off but today someone emailed me and informed my my old stories were really old! Like the 'newest' old story is from July, even though I update my site several times a week, with my last update being today.
Any ideas why it's stuck in the past?
