Cannot insert new stories
Antonio
Anonymous
Hi,
when I insert new stories, geeklog 1.3.8.1 behaves as if the insertion was successful but no new story appears, being the counter "Proposals" also to zero.
What may be wrong?
Cheers

Erm, register_globals problem? They should be on (check your php.ini).

my hosts suse linux picked up this same problem recently. It can be solved on a linux/apache system by adding a line to the .htaccess file in the public_html folder:
php_value register_globals 1
Hope that helps.

Well, I tried almost all that was suggested.
but nothing seems to work (the only think I didn't was to disable image's as was suggested in the faq)
I noticed that not only I can't add new stories, but I can't add new links, blocks etc. as a registered user (sorry if I didn't make this clear in previous posts)
I noticed though that I can insert new stories as an anonymous user, although I cannot edit them afterwards (well only if I login as the administrator).
Any further help will be appreciated
All the best
