Hi,
It seems that we can't easily specify a different url for the image directory in the config.php file, since Geeklog assumes the image directory will be in $_CONF['path_html'] or $_CONF['site_url']. But I'm hosting this on my personal machine with a DSL connection because I'm a control freak. :-) So I want everything on my machine, but because my connection is so slow, I'd like the image directory located on some hosted server somewhere (preferably my .Mac account). Is this possible?
Thanks for the great software.

Well, it shouldn't be too hard to find all occurences of images/articles in admin/story.php and replace them with something else.
However, Geeklog assumes that the image upload goes to the same site where Geeklog itself is running. Changing that to upload to another site is not trivial ...
bye, Dirk

Unless space is an issue, you shouldn't have that much of a problem with images on a DSL connection. I run a web and email server with 10 sites off of my DSL connection and although it's not as fast as a server on a T-3 or 0C-12 connection I find it works just fine. One thing I do though is to limit the amount of images you see on one page. Also if I do have to have many images on one page I create thumbnails (Front Page thumbnail creation does a good job with thumbnail sizes about 1k per thumb).
