Okay, I have all the permissions set correctly, all the paths are correct, and everything seems to be fine. I call up the install.php file, put in the path to geeklog and hit Next. Upon hitting Next Step 2 pulls up, i read it, and then hit Next again...upon hitting Next this time i get this:

"An SQL error has occured. Please see error.log for details."

What does this mean and what do I do to get the install.php file to actually go through all 3 steps?

do what the error tells you and post the log here. Check your error.log and post it.
