How completely to clean system of registration of users?

The simplest way to disable user registration is to set the user_submission setting to '1' in the config.php file. This will allow users to request an account, but wil not give them an account unless you authorize it.

For what you are asking, to actually disable the user registration system, I think you are going to have to modify some files.

I would like to clean completely system of registration of users, but to make all functions of a portal accessible to unregister users. Explain please as it to make. Can be there is a updating allowing to realize it?
