The settings for your smtp server should be in your php.ini. Good luck!

php.ini? oh my God...
in php.ini I find the setting for Windows, and mysterious sendmail setting for unix.
I using Mac OS X, I do not have a smtp active on localhost. The smtp server is on another server on same network
taught like to a child...

Suggestions: in the next versions of geeklog the possibility to
specify a smtp server, like phpbb?

Geeklog 1.3.9 will let you chose between using PHP's mail() function (that's what you have now), SMTP, or using sendmail directly. The code for that is already in CVS ...
