confused
Maybe I missed something during installation, but I installed Geeklog 1.3.8-1sr2 on a Mac OS 10.3 server, install went fine except for a couple of known issues (the mysql error with the what's new block) I fixed those issues, and have created a couple of test stories. What I am trying to do now is add images to some new stories. But whenever I try it I just get a time out issue. The images don't upload to my server or anything. I am using english as the main language so my [image1] blocks aren't a problem. I'm worndering if maybe there is something on my server that I don't have enabled that I should? or maybe some port or something.

My images/articles, and my images/userphotos both have a mask of 777. I thought it might be a Windows - OS 10 issue with posting the photos, but i've tried with both with multiple browsers with no success. Any help would be appreciated.

What size is your image? Test with *very* small images first. Also, when it times out what message do you get exactly?
The reason people blame things on previous generations is that there's only one other choice.

they've been images about 100x100, but I will try some smaller ones. The odd part about the errors is that I really don't get any errors other then timing out. But I hit the refresh button and the story.php page pops right up. I check the error.log file and there is nothing new in it.

Not too sure whether this work around is good for you .. I personally edited the config.php and included the IMG tag for admins in stories editing. This allows me to hyperlink the images uploaded to the webserver. I juz need to know the location and use normal HTML IMG TAG to achieve it.

Easier and MUCH more convenient in this manner. Cool

And less secure, I may add. If you do that, at least allow it only for admins (i.e. add the tag to $_CONF['admin_html']).
