Did you really enter "/path/to/index/" in your config.php? That doesn't sound like a proper path to me ...
The install script will try to give you a hint about what your paths are - just call it up, without entering anything yet, and have a look at the "hint" below the field where you're supposed to enter your path.
From the error message, it is also obvious that all your paths have to start with '/home/cody/'. What follows after that is hard to tell from here, without knowing what you put where.
If this is a Unix box and you have shell access to it, change to the directory where your config.php resides and enter
as a command. The result is your "path to Geeklog".
