everything is working perfectly in forum except ranks aren't showing up. could i have turned this off during install or a config somewhere? using the admin panel does nothing. i can edit everything else in the admin settings to my hearts content. the names and ranks are visible in the forum admin settings but don't show up in the forums. any clues?

If the stars show up and the words do not, you can edit the topic.thtml file in public_html/layout/theme/forum/layout. There, the ranks have been commented out while the images have been left in.

And how would i do that. I tried adding {user_rank} as a guess but didn't work. Is this even the right place to add it. Seems logical to me.

AHA! That worked. Thank you very much! How did this get turned off in the first place. I never changed it manually. It was active originally after install I don't know when it stopped working I just noticed last week they weren't showing up anymore.
