I want a simple blog-like system where each person who registers can immediately start making posts; see their own posts; edit their own posts; but not edit other posts.

I managed to remove moderation by creating a blog group with permission to add and edit stories, but I'm worried they'll edit other people's stories, and I don't want to have to go in and add everyone to this group every time.

THanks.

Why don't you simply disable the story submission queue in config.php?

$_CONF['storysubmission'] = 0;

Or maybe what you're really looking for is the Journal plugin.

bye, Dirk

The journal plugin would probably work nicely for you.

If not, you shouldn't have to worry about one user editing the stories of another user. That can only happen if they give their group write access to the story. By default, only the author and root can edit stories.
