I need right blocks in stories

When you click read more from the main page the right blocks are replaced with whats related and story options. This is fine but I would like the rest of my right side blocks to also display, as they are important for jumping to other posts. I don't want readers to have to return to the main page to see these blocks. Any help would be appreciated.

In the file /article.php you will find near the end some code that looks like this:
Change this to:
and your stories will have right side blocks starting below the story blocks (what's related, etc.).
Text Formatted Code
$display .= COM_siteFooter ();Change this to:
Text Formatted Code
$display .= COM_siteFooter (true);and your stories will have right side blocks starting below the story blocks (what's related, etc.).

Any chance this could be made a config option? I'd like to set mine up w/ "content on the right, nav on the left", more like a blog, but I hate having to make changes in source that I'm sure to forget come upgrade time.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I tried to implement this however it ruins the layout. The right blocks are there, but it places the whats related and story options to the left of the right blocks making this side extra wide.

I've also noticed this [1.3.9]. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I'm not crazy about a 4-column layout.

The two standard blocks on the article page (What's Related and Story Options) aren't real blocks but part of the layout.
Open the article/article.thtml template file and you'll see a variable {whats_related_story_options} that is replaced with those two blocks. You will have to find some other solution for those then (you can use {whats_related_block} and {story_options_block} to have them as two separate blocks).
bye, Dirk
