For some reason on one of my GL sites, the sides have narrowed meaning that now I have about a 1/4 inch gap on the left and right sides of the site. All pages are the same way and I dont remember changing anything. But the problem is, for 800x600 users, the blocks no long fully fit in the screen view. Any ideas or maybe what file I could check that would change the overall site layout width.

For most themes, the header.thtml file in your theme directory tends to define the main site width. Some themes have independent footers that would have to be changed as well.

well its not in the header.thtml. I compared it to default install and changed and few things but no difference. Actually it looks like the gap is above the header and below footer as well.

Could it be a style applied to the body? Check the style.css file.
