When I try to do a search on my site I get the following error

An SQL error has occured. Please see error.log for details.

Any help would be appreciated

It's probably plugin-related. Try deactivating any recently installed plugins.

I tried your suggestion and found it was the Contacts plugin causing it. Any Ideas on how I should try to remedy this?

I edited the config.php in contacts to disable integrated search, and that worked. Hope this helps anybody else with this problem.

I dug a little deeper and found updating your contacts functions.inc to rev 1.3 from cvs will fix this problem.
I enabled integrated search again in config.php and everything works
