When trying to add a link people are getting this error msg: (
((1064: You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that
corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ''at line 1))
I have never viewed the SQL. What did I screw up this time?)

Please quote the error message from Geeklog's error.log.
Btw, if Geeklog still displays details of SQL errors to your visitors, then you haven't applied all the security upgrades (and that may or may not be part of your problem).
