How can I modify the table over-all width of geeklog from 780 to 750? That is, in what file do I do the modifications?

Thanks in advance Dirk.

I assume you won't accept any help from people not named Dirk? Razz

It depends on your theme. I would look first into header.thtml and if you don't find it there, maybe in the css file (style.css).

Wich theme?

P.S. I hate sites with fixed widths Twisted Evil

Oh no. I will accept help from anybody. The thing though is last time I needed some help, it was Dirk alone that helped me.

Anyhow, lets say I want to use the 'yahoo theme'.
Are you saying that I should modify the header file alone?

Thanks geKow.

Yeah, most themes that use a fixed width simply define a table of that width in their header.thtml.

And I agree with geKow on fixed-width sites Mr. Green

hmmmm

the Yahoo theme has no fixed width...
But looking e.g at the Xsilver theme there is a line:
Text Formatted Code
<table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="780" align="center" bgcolor="#CCCCCC">

in the header.thtml

geKow

P.S.: AFAIK W3C hates widths without units Wink

Nope, that's perfectly okay in HTML (supposed to be pixels). You would be right if you were talking about CSS, though.

bye, Dirk
