1.3.9. php mail() gives: Call to a member function on a non-object

Hi,

when using the php-internal mail-function, I get the following error when using the mail users-option:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/tokyo/public_html/tokyoahead/main/lib-common.php on line 3218

any idea where that could come from?

thanks

Oliver

Is this the only error message you get? Do you have safe mode on? Do the other two options work?

bye, Dirk

Yes, its the only thing I get.
SMTP works fine, sendmail and mail() dont.

However sendmail does not return any error message.

What about safe_mode (you didn't answer that one)?

'mail' is known not to work when safe_mode is on.

If you're on a hosted environment, you probably can't (otherwise: in php.ini).

Try one of the other mail options ('sendmail' or 'smtp').
