Two "Story blocks" on the same page.
Hi,
I'm trying to use geeklog as a CMS. Here's what I want people to see when they hit the site:
_________________________________________
| | |
| | |
| | |
| Main story; addressible | block with |
| via URL | text; addr |
| | from URL |
| | with def. |
| | selection |
The idea here is if some one went to fooBar.com/art/1/ (through URL rewriting) they would get article #1 and some random or default "advertisment" in the right block. If desired they could go to fooBar.com/art/1/ad/3/ which would give the art 1 on the left and ad 3 on the right.
In this case, no one would be able to see the left blocks except for the admins.
Does anyone know of a block that could do this or an easy way to leverage the current capability to do it?
BTW, I wanna be able to "publish" content for this "ad" block in a fashion similar to that of the stories system and admin. I'm assuming it would be it's only table set or some special metatag in the DB. Also, I'd like to be able to use the comments fucntionality on the "ad block".
Any assistance or guidane is greatly appreciated.

Wow, that formating sucks!! Oh well, I think you can get the general idea...
Thanks again.

You may want to try the preview before posting or there is always the edit option. Either is better then creating a second post complaining about the format
