Invalid file extension help

duck

Anonymous
When I installed I got an error message:
Template Error: filename: file /data/hosted/Matsuri/geeklog//public_html/layout/XSilver/header.thtml does not exist.
Halted.

I tried to upload the missing thtml files to the directory, but I get an invalid file extension message and won't upload them. Is there someway to fix this?

As explained in the documentation, this is most likely a wrong path in your settings.

Also, the "invalid file type" message has nothing to do with Geeklog but with the software you're using to upload files. Try some other application ...

I checked the path and everything was fine.
I went into the folder with the files and found that all .thtml files were not uploaded. I tried uploading them through WS_FTP and through my host uploader, and my host denied it. They suggested changing the extension to one they do permit. Can I change the thmtl files to something else, so I can upload them? Confused

That sounds like an, erm, unusual restriction, to put it mildly ...

Geeklog requires that the files end in .thtml. You could try if you can rename them after the upload, but that would be a lot of work.

K I've come across this same problem...

Template Error: set_root: /home/zenpare/gl//home/zenpare/public_html/layout/XSilver is not a directory.
Halted.

I don't know why it's showing /home/zenpare/gl/ in the path when it's looking for the public_html... ...I have also checked the documentation on this, and I've rechecked and rechecked the path for the $_CONF['path_html'] in the config file and it's correct. So I have no idea what is going on here.. ideas anyone?
