Left_Blocks...

previously i posted on how to make both the left and right blocks next to one another like what we can see on Gawker.com or Gothamist.com. But now.. i figured a way.. how about placing a table(with the left_blocks) next to the table which contains the right_blocks tag in the footer.thmtl file? But when i tried this i realised that the left_blocks tag does not fetch the blocks its supposed to.. how come?

i also forgotto includethis.. but further tested out this left-blocks tag by deleting the right_blocks tag in the footer.thtml file and replacing it with the left_blocks tag.. and i have already configured all the blocks to supposedly be on the left in my admin panel.. but i still don't see the left_blocks on the right side of page. So does this mean that you cannot see right_blocks if you place the right_blocks in the header.thtml? And vice-versa?

correct. The left_blocks variable is only set in the header and the right_blocks variable is only set in the footer.

The COM_siteHeader function will only set {left_blocks) and COM_siteFooter sets {right_blocks}
