To turn off sending password thru mail to new users

Hi,

I just installed geeklog into my new site Smile

I wanted new users to sign-in entering their name, mail-id and password, and start using this right away. I don't want the feature of sending the password to the user thru his mail-id. How to go about doing this ?

Sorry, I can't help you.
I'm just curious: why do you want to disable this security feature? I mean you could also allow posting for everybody, even anonymous.

Well, I have two reasons for this.

* The web server where I have hosted does not provide Mail Server freely for fear of spam.
* I don't know how to config an external free mail server and use it as default.

If any one knows how to do the second one, you are most welcome to offer me any advice Smile
