In the docs, it says you have to check this option (staticpages.PHP) under "Static Page Admin"... I don't have this option. What did I miss?

Same here. 1.3.9, Centerblock, everything else, but no PHP in StaticPage switch.

You don't have that at your static page edit page?
[QUOTE staticpages/index.php/edit]
Centerblock: When checked, this Static Page will be displayed as a center block on the index page.
Position: [Entire Page] Topic: [All]
-----------------------------------------------------------
In a block: [ ] Wrap Static Page in a block.
PHP: [do not execute PHP] Warning: PHP code in your page will be evaluated if you enable this option. Use with caution !!
Exit Type: [ ] Enable for Login Required Message. Leave unchecked for normal security check and message.

So I would GUESS something was wrong with your static_pages plugin update.

this is probably pointing out theo bvious but the staticpages.php is under Groups>Staticpage admin.
All though I have to say it was checked by default for me, even though I can't figure out how to use php, all I get is parse errors!
As GeKow says its probably the fact your stsicpage plugin didn't update correctly!

I ran the following:
INSERT INTO gl_features (ft_id, ft_name, ft_descr, ft_gl_core) VALUES (22,'staticpages.PHP','Ability use PHP in static pages',0)
all better.
