Geeklog Forums

I have installed the geeklog-1.3.9 from the released beta’s until now the final, but my question is, will there have to be all new themes as a result of the new release. I have tried many themes and like others in the forum they all look for files that are not in the current release. It’s easily fixed by copying the files from an older theme.

Maybe it’s the way I install, or maybe it’s the themes I use that cause these issues, but all in all will the current themes needs to be changed in any way to adapt to the new Geeklog release?

This just happens a lot with themes that don't ship with Geeklog. You should never see these errors with the core Geeklog themes. New themefiles are created with new versions of GL that expand customizability. TGL will then complain if you use an old theme that does not have all of these files.

As you noted, it's fairly easy to fix. It would be nice if theme writers updated their themes with new versions of Geeklog, but that doesn't always happen.
