I wanted to use this software for a blog, as it has more functionality and ease of customization than I've seen anywhere. I was wondering, though... it it possible to turn off the ability for even the members to submit articles, events, and such? I would like them to be able to comment on what I write, but that's it... I love everything else about GL and would really enjoy using it on my site if this is possible.

The easiest way to do this is to turn the submission queue on and then to remove the links that point to all of the submission pages. It's pretty easy to do.
