About 5 times now I have just about started to upgrade completely from 1.3.8 to 1.3.9 but there are some confusing steps for me and I wonder if a few folks who have completed it can reassure me...?
1) I take current /pathto/geeklog and mv it away to another path
2) Install new GL1.3.9 where the orig pathto/geeklog was
3) Edit config.php, lib_common.php and lib_custom.php
4) move back in the themes and plugins I had in the old?
The parts that confuse me: All the staticpages (over 120) and topics, stories, blocks, etc., and logs.. all this will be okay? That's ALL in the database?

The upgrade instruction on the doc is very straight forward. You can do it that way. I did it differently.
What I did is:
1. backup database
2. backup GL 1.3.8 site
3. overwrite GL 1.3.8 with 1.3.9
4. update config.php
5. update libcommon.php
6. update lib-custom.php
7. look at the changed files list for the theme and replace the changed files.
8. Run install.php
That's it.

Many thanks Samstone. I did it. The only things I notice wrong is my weather plugin gives an SQL error and my theme right column is way out of whack. Easy things to deal with.
I had to do it your way because my public_html dir is elsewhere and other directories renamed as well. Makes for difficult upgrades.
Again, thanks.
