I am setting up a site with restrictive membership. I don't want anyone to be able to sign themselves up; I want to add everyone by hand.

I've already gotten rid of the user block and written a login block for the main page. But if someone enters an incorrect login, they are invited to sign up as a new user.

Is there an easy way to get rid of this?
