Just hoping a few geeks can take a look at KenoshaOnline.net and register. Particularly, check out two plugins I actually paid for:
one is Blaine's glMESSENGER, which I love. It was easy to install, can be customized with all your themes, and it's just plain cool.
the other is FlashChat 3.8, which just recently added GL integration, and for just $5. it's incredible. The guy is making a killing off his $5. scripts.
Both plugins require a login to work, but if you can evaluate it, it would be good for everyone to hear how these work.
In the planning. Another Blaine plugin I eagerly await is glQuiz, which you can demo on his site (portalparts.com) and which has a ton of possibilities for me.
The rest of kenoshaOnline is just community news and heavy on newsfeeds.
I am really trying very hard to find a way to display the newsfeed in a staticpage and include the description tag, not just the headline. CARP does some of that, but not well.
My static pages PHP doesn't work. Can't figure that one.
Neither does adding a comment to Polls if no coment exists already (no first comment since upgradign to 1.3.9)
So anyone just browsing around, if you have time to give a bit of feedback, please have at it.
Thanks.
John

Nice job. But when I tried to edit my account information, the page was messed up. So I couldn't change the password to the one I can remember.
I have a question though, what's the legal issue involved when you post the news from other sources? I am thinking about cust and pasting some news on my site from my local news, but not sure if it is legal.

The Fair use clause of the US Copyright law allows for less than 2 paragraphs to be reprinted. I shold be sourcing it, but according to WebPro News, linking is equivalent.
I've had it checked with some experts in reprinting news and textbook information. The photos are iffy tho.
For the most part though all my news comes from legit newsfeeds like newstrove.com, newspapernow.com, usnewsreport, and a couple moreover feeds.
Additionally, I pay subscription for any Reuters and a few other news items but will discontinue that when the term runs out on Reuters.

Fixed it. I think I messed up my WebBadAss theme when I upgraded, so I replaced it with a modified Yahoo theme and the suer menu is there again, as well as a few other issues.
Thanks!

Change your resolution to 800 x 600 and take a look at your site. I always modify my themes so that they fit in at least 800 x 600 or better yet make them so they adjust with the size of the window.
Have you found a solution for an RSS feed in a static page yet. I may have something for you

Here you go, I included a little instruction with it as well. This by no means is a plug in but may be useful for others as well. Download Here

I have a problem with PHP in a static page on my site, and am working on it so I can't tell if it works yet, but I'm excited. Does the description tag work that you know of?
